Good morning everyone! I will be posting on this page some (more!) resources for PE that I think will be a great addition to your virtual curriculum. Not only that but these allow you, and us as a school, to take part in a competition (something I know a few, including myself, have missed). These will also be available on the website via class pages.
Active Notts have been working hard to put together a weekly resource featuring content for Monday-Friday. These games and activities designed at engaging pupils in 30 minutes of activity around the home. Next week’s challenges are based around orienteering.
Please pay big attention to the Friday virtual competition and note every weekly sporting resource will feature a virtual competition which is culturally themed rather than physical activity - hoping to engage as many pupils as possible.
Pupils should send their competition entries to Active Notts (all detailed within the document) who will then keep a weekly leaderboard of school entries based on the highest % of entries against number on roll.
At the end of each week there will be a prize for the top school in each district plus a prize for the top school in Nottinghamshire – something that would really satisfy Mr Jones’ craving of competition!
Every pupil submitting an entry will get a certificate, whilst there will also be individual prize draws.
I know there are lots of resources out there and a BIG thank you for your engagement so far with everything. I look forward to seeing some of the orienteering challenges completed next week!
